It seems it will be one of these years when there is fog during 6 months or so. By fog, I mean a thick and dense one from elevation zero to around 900m high. Visibility is around 20m at best. For days and night.

In the mountains, on the other hand, it’s quite hot and snow is melting. For those lucky enough to wander in the mountains, the conditions are pristine.

Here are some snowy landscapes.

When there is no fog and no snow, this is what Switzerland looks like at 7a.m.
Freezing my fingers on the remoter controller
First snow, everything melted within days
With DJI Mini, nice drone to carry with, pictures are ok as long as it’s sunny
First track as well

Visiting the Creux du Van is always an exiting experience for us. Until now, I let my lovely husband give me directions, and he did so by following Google Maps, which is actually one of the most stupid things to do if not used with a real map and a bit of reflexion.

We ended on icy, steepy, and closed road. Had I not stopped the car and turned around to take the lead, we would have been stuck in 40cm of snow, with no possibility to turn back.

The good news is that now I know the path by heart.

Our plan was to see the sunset..because we missed the road about a thousand times, because there was too much snow and we had to walk 45min, we missed the sunset. As usual.
The white thing on the right is the sea of fog. We spend 6 months under it.
The moment the sun set, the temperatures dropped
Who is the idiot who forgot her wide angle lens? But carried a useless 2kg 135mm lens instead?
Looking back
Looking straight in front of us. Very icy path. I explored some unholy stretching positions.
